Swedish Bee Pollen (Dried) 100g
Bee pollen, or pollen granules as it is also called, is a by-product in a double sense. Pollen from plants and flowers clumps with nectar out in nature, which bees then carry on their hind legs and drop when they get to the hive. These clumps are called bee pollen, and are used by beekeepers around the world.
Bee pollen is one of the hottest super foods today. The secret lies in the fantastic composition of nutrients; approximately 205 bioactive substances, 16 vitamins, 27 minerals and 22 amino acids and carbohydrates, fat and protein, and micronutrients.
The concentration of vitamins is higher than in fruit and vegetables and the concentration of proteins is about 5-7 times higher than in meat.
The vitamins strengthen the blood vessels, prevent internal bleeding, atherosclerosis and osteoporosis, inhibit bacterial growth and prevent infections.
Bee pollen contains all the enzymes and coenzymes the body needs. The role of enzymes is to catalyze functions in the body. They are needed for digestion, healing and can help against premature aging. Because it contains vitamin A, they are also believed to have a positive, smoothing effect on wrinkles.
Bee pollen is also known to increase muscle growth thanks to its protein content and the many nutrients that help the body recover after exercise. Traditionally, it has been used to strengthen the immune system, improve memory and concentration, stimulate oxygen uptake.
Our Swedish bee pollen is a pure natural product that our bees have collected from forests and meadows in our immediate area!
Multicolored grains mean that the pollen has been collected from a varied flora, which provides a wider spectrum of nutrients.
Bee pollen tastes sweet with a nutty note, which most people find to be good. Try mixing in a smoothie, sprinkle on breakfast porridge or with salads and yogurt or in a chia pudding to add extra flavor and nutrition. Bee pollen is also surprisingly good to decorate pastries and desserts with.
Dosage: 1 to 2 teaspoons of pollen per day (4 to 8 g), preferably in the morning, to consume alone or mixed with a little honey.
It can also be mixed with fruit juice, dessert or sprinkled on a salad to vary the pleasures.
Most people with pollen allergies are able to eat bee pollen, because the allergy is in the airways and not through food intake. If you are allergic to other by-products and bee stings, however, you should test a very small amount of bee pollen to begin with to check your tolerance level. If you don't notice any allergies, you can then step up gradually each day.
