Bee pollen, or pollen granules as it is also called, is a by-product in a double sense. Pollen from plants and flowers clumps with nectar out in nature, which bees then carry on their hind legs and drop when they get to the hive. These clumps are called bee pollen, and are used by beekeepers around the world.
Bee pollen is one of the hottest super foods today. The secret lies in the fantastic composition of nutrients; approximately 205 bioactive substances, 16 vitamins, 27 minerals and 22 amino acids and carbohydrates, fat and protein, and micronutrients.
The concentration of vitamins is higher than in fruit and vegetables and the concentration of proteins is about 5-7 times higher than in meat.
The vitamins strengthen the blood vessels, prevent internal bleeding, atherosclerosis and osteoporosis, inhibit bacterial growth and prevent infections.

Dosage: 1 to 2 teaspoons of pollen per day (4 to 8 g), preferably in the morning, to consume alone or mixed with a little honey.

Most people with pollen allergies are able to eat bee pollen, because the allergy is in the airways and not through food intake.
